Where it all began:
I'm Nico Castro with an uncurated obsession:
"designing little watches"
And it’s true, I like it and I do it well. I make mistakes like any human being, and I learn from them.
In 2017 and 2022, Samsung US awarded my work for the quality of the designs I make and for helping to increase the sale of watch dials and brand loyalty.

NIKLAS LYBACK – Samsung Developer Success
A small story,
back in 2018:
I entered the world of digital watchmaking, immersing myself in the passion for creating digital watches.
At that time, I was working as an independent collaborator for Samsung, under my first brand called «BERGEN».
At the end of 2018, after a meeting with the Samsung North America team, they informed me that I would be awarded as the Best Samsung Watch Face Designer of the Year, at the annual conference called «Samsung Developer Conference» in San Francisco, USA.
I traveled there,
received the award, gave lectures, and met with the Samsung team from America and Asia, because they wanted to hear about me and how I could help improve their marketplace.
Experience
The following year, Samsung asked me to return, this time to San Jose, to their next annual event to present the award to the next consecutive year’s winner,
but their main interest was to meet with their American and Korean operations team and provide feedback, suggestions for improvement for their Galaxy Store marketplace.
I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t an exclusive experience.
Once Again
In 2022, I again won an award from Samsung for my art, this time for mobile phones using my graphic design skills.
A new space to pour my art into, but this time on a different canvas, broad, dynamic, and with different possibilities.

In 2018, Samsung awarded me as the best Samsung designer of the year in San Francisco, USA.

In 2022, Samsung again rewards my art, this time applied to mobile devices.
